Born in Honolulu, Hawaii to a Korean mother and American-military father, she spent her youth wandering and living in many places both inside and outside the United States.
She’s a veteran of the U.S. Navy and Air Force and teaches college history courses with a special interest in the experience of women throughout history. She now lives in the woods of Northeast Ohio and pines for the ocean daily. Luckily, she also loves everything autumn and snowy. At this very moment, she is probably eating kimchi chigae and smashing the patriarchy.
