The daughter of an American sailor and Korean immigrant, K.P. was born in Hawaii but grew up along both the East and West Coasts of the U.S. She likes snow, autumn leaves and woods that overlook an expanse of a chill northern ocean. She holds advanced degrees in history and writing and spent over 8 years serving in the U.S. Navy and Air Force.

She teaches history at a small college in Northeast Ohio where she pines for the ocean daily. Her favorite color is charcoal grey, eats kimchi chigae whenever possible and smashes the patriarchy with freakin' lasers.
