Lovely day (as they can get in the Age of Quarantine). I'm soaking up some sun on the porch while I read through the review copy of FAIREST FLESH. Editors are truly sorcerers, up there with other practitioners of the dark arts, like the witches who perfectly fold fitted sheets. I'm excited to see what Rooster Republic/Strangehouse has in store for this book next.
In the meantime, I can't wait to get my hands on the special edition of the NOT ALL MONSTERS antho. It was wonderful to work with Sara Tantlinger as the editor. The art. GAH. Don Noble's work has captured the feeling of this beautiful creature, I can't even. And egads! Have you seen the amount of talent in that book?!! And my little harpies are curled within among them all, waiting to feed your rage. (It won't hurt too much, I promise.) I am honored to have this story among such great authors, I NEED all their stories in my soul. Now would be my preference.
So here I wait. Patience has never been my strength. Well, the sun is good. The night will be too.
Read something spooky, cause if you can't when you're stuck like Jack in the Overlook Hotel, well you know what he said about too much work... or was that Homer?
I can't remember.
What day of the week is it?
